First of all, disatisfaction has a purpose. Our depression is telling us a message..
to change our life in some way - to change ourselves and how we see things.
What is the message?
Do you really feel at home with your job? Your relationship(s)?
When we take a good look inside we can find a message there for you.

Perhaps the first step involves taking a good hard look at how we were raised in regards to self esteem issues, various counter productive disciplinary methods, often by well meaning authority figures- which only make sorting it out even more confusing.

Read: Drama of The Gifted Child by Alice Miller if you often put your needs before others and want to "help" everyone. A wonderful trait, yet if this is the only way you got love, consciously or unconsciously, then this needs to be looked at because it is a part of the depression, the spirit in you that was repressed for others needs. Often times, told we were selfish for caring for our own needs. Sorting out the messages that we were given to find what we feel is the path and every bad memory is a link in the chain around us.

However, be careful not to linger in the past to feed your depression. At some point, only you know when that point is. We must forgive and see the lessons that we learned and appreciate these lessons and those who taught them to us. Not to condone bad behavior. To understand that we are not our behavior and see the essence of that person(s) and ourselves beyond our behaviors or our wounds for that matter.
Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves and we give it because it allows us to let go
of old baggage that is keeping us from allowing our visions to fly.

Simply put: we all have walls around our hearts made from the moment we really needed to protect ourselves from those who were not considering us or our feelings.
Each wall has a picture of each of these moments.
As we see these for what they are they become windows.
As we take steps forwards in our lives,
they become doorways to our heart's freedom.
We can co-create inner family balance and heal, even if our birth families
or x's don't want to be involved.

Remember:
for everyone seeking help with mood swings;
there are several steps to understanding what's going on,
it's not simple or the same for everyone.

Find what works for you... keep a journal of your process if that feels goods.
Or at least a way to remember to record what works & why...

It's important to remember that being in a good mood is a national industry now. 
All aspects of our health physically, emotionally, mentally,
& spiritually are part of the equation. 
Sometimes it comes down to behaviors,
nutrition and what is considered a "normal education" and child rearing -
(as in ADD, or manic-depression/chronic depression)

(a really good method of inner reflection to see
how your conscious & unconscious mind works)
Simply write and rewrite a letter that you may never send.
This way we are able to vent our negative emotions,
with out the repercussions of saying something we regret later.
We are able to see our inner thoughts and allow them to grow as we revise our letter to reflect how we've grow over time.
(Allow yourself as much time as you need to as you work on yourself in other ways as well.) Also, if and when we finally do speak to the person,
(or if we finally decide to send it) because we've done this, we know exactly what we want to say and how to ay it and even more so, what we don't want to say.

The most important thing to remember it to DO YOUR THANG!!!
Pray. If you have time to worry, you have time to pray.
Call on angels to help in times of change.
Create your own rituals, anything meaningful to you.

Whatever helps us to relax into the now & make the most of it,
